Warm Bamboo Massage Bamboo massage is a technique that incorporates bamboo stalks of varying lengths and diameters to provide deep-tissue work. The sticks are heated by placing them in a Moist Heating Pad. The massage itself promotes circulation, sensory nerve perception, and lymphatic drainage and provides a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. I also incorporate two of Young Livings Essential Oils into the Warm Bamboo Massage Session. They are Valor and Aroma Siez. (Scroll down to learn about these two very powerful Essential Oils.)
Valor is nicknamed "chiropractor in a bottle". Valor is a blend of the following oils: Aroma Seize Aroma Siez
is a highly antispasmodic blend of essential oils that helps relax
sore, tense, or inflamed muscles: I consider the Warm Bamboo Massage Similar to a Hot Stone Massage but more effective because it is more therapeutic. Consequently, I consider Warm Bamboo Massage a Specialty Technique. Click Here For Rates on the Warm Bamboo Massage under Specialty Techniques One clients Feedback about Warm Bamboo Massage I've
had Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy and hot stone massages, but being kneaded
with bamboo was something new to me. The bamboo was warm and stayed that way consistently as Harry used different ones on my calves and legs. The pressure seemed just right, and the sticks seemed to massage the whole muscles all at once, rather than just one little part of muscle at a time. This seemed to create a relaxing, soothing experience, a bit more pressure than Swedish, yet not painful like deep tissue and trigger point therapy can be. The temperature of the bamboo sticks was just right: not too hot, but warm enough to penetrate and sooth. Harry's motions were remarkably fluid and controlled considering that he was manipulating slippery cylinders. It was a tension-relieving and entirely enjoyable sensation. I especially liked when Harry rolled the larger cylinder along my back, and then rocked it back and forth as he massaged what seemed like every muscle in my back at once. When he used a smaller stick on my neck, it had the best results I have ever had with a neck massage, the tension in my neck disappeared after only a couple of strokes. Bottom Line: I would choose a Warm Bamboo Massage over a Hot Stone Massage, the bamboo seemed to be the right temperature throughout the massage, and the rolling motion and greater surface area of the sticks made for a very pleasurable and diverse massage. Would definitely recommend it as a relaxation massage, although the therapeutic benefits were great, as well. Larry J.
